Our club got some great free publicity recently when Don Shoots' giant Snook picture taken at our Stuart Tournament was published in The Ledger and featured on Bill Miller's "Hooked On Fishing" TV show.  Way to go Don!

Congratulations to Gene "The Flukemeister" Ledford for winning our club's Classic on Crooked Lake November 15.  Needless to say he again won a tournament tossing Zoom Flukes.

With the new slot limit regulations for snook our club has changed the format for the saltwater flats tournaments.  Club tournament rules now allow 2 any size snook and 2 any size redfish daily.  State regulations will apply for all fish not released.  Anglers will use approved digital scales to record tournament catches.  A non-slot fish must be released immediately after weighing and recording its weight.  There is no limit on the number of fish that can be caught and released.  The angler's 2 largest snook and 2 largest redfish weighed each day of the tournament will be counted.

The awards banquet for the 2008 season will be at Ski's January 10th.  

Our next meeting is Wednesday, Jan. 14th at 7:30 PM.*  We welcome new members and guests.  Our meetings are casual and fun.
